The thing nobody tells you

The verification audit checks evidence against just four standards — your HR documents (ID, screening, qualifications), an incident management process, a complaints process, and risk management (including your insurance). That's it. It's a desktop audit: no site visit, typically $900–$1,500 with the auditor.

Consultants charge $2,500–$7,000 and deliver 140-document packs written for organisations with staff — which auditors then flag because they're obviously not tailored to a one-person business. This kit is the opposite: exactly what the auditor checks, sized for one person, personalised to your services.

Check your pathway first: this kit is for verification registration groups — household tasks & gardening (0120), transport (0108), therapeutic supports (0128), plan management (0127), community nursing (0114), exercise physiology (0126) and similar lower-risk groups. It is not for personal care (0107), community participation (0125) or SIL — those need the bigger certification audit. Not sure? Ask us before buying.

FAQ

Will this guarantee I pass the audit?

No one can guarantee that — be wary of anyone who does. What we can say: the kit maps one-to-one to the NDIS Commission's published Verification Module requirements, and includes the implementation aids (registers with worked examples, participant docs) that address the most common failure causes — generic templates and unused policies. You must personalise the documents and actually use them.

What does registration actually cost all-up?

Beyond the kit: the verification audit is typically $900–$1,500 (get 2–3 quotes — our guide shows you how), worker screening is roughly $75–$165 depending on state, and insurance for a sole trader typically runs $500–$1,500/year. The Commission's application itself is free. Most sole traders complete the process in 3–6 months.

I do personal care / community participation — can I use this?

Not this kit — those registration groups need the certification audit, which has a bigger document set. Contact us; a certification pack is on our roadmap and we'll tell you honestly what your pathway involves.

Do I even need to register?

If you only serve self-managed and plan-managed participants, registration is currently optional for lower-risk supports — but you can't serve agency-managed participants (a large share of the market), platforms increasingly prefer registered providers, and mandatory registration is expanding in phases from 2026 to 2030. Registering now means joining a short queue instead of a long one.

What if the rules change after I buy?

They will — the NDIS is mid-reform. The kit is current at its version date; the Updates & Alerts subscription supplies revised documents when the Practice Standards or Rules materially change.

Refunds?

Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply — if anything's faulty we re-supply or refund. Digital products aren't refundable for change of mind, but if the kit genuinely doesn't fit your situation (e.g. your groups need certification), contact us within 14 days.
